How many of the people who follow us now actually know what we’re about? 

We’ve been getting a lot of demo submissions lately from people who obviously are looking to be signed with Columbia or something like that, and while that’s cool, we’re totally not that kind of label. Here’s a quick run down of what White Moon does:

We’re a mostly digital release label, meaning we release music ONLINE via DOWNLOADS for FREE. We make ZERO money, which means you make ZERO money when we release your music. Our sole purpose and intent is to help spread homemade, hand crafted music to the world. We hand pick all of our artists and releases, they’re bands and musicians that we LOVE upon first listen. 

We are not a “friends” only label. If we like the jams, we will gladly help you spread the word and release your music. 

I know us being lumped in with Epitaph, Fueled By Ramen, etc in the Tumblr Spotlight makes things a little confusing, as they are big time labels with mass distro and are actually releasing hard copy albums. 

White Moon Recordings is on a different wave length. We’re about the music, not the bullshit. 

Hopefully that helps clear things up a little bit. As much as I would love to hear all the autotuned stuff that Johnny in Miami wants to send my way, I can’t help him. I live on a small farm with my wife, son, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 chickens.
